English Teaching Resources: Heroes (Robert Cormier) follows the four part lesson structure.  Each lesson begins with a starter activity, moves through an introduction and development and ends with a plenary activity. English Teaching Resources: Heroes (Robert Cormier) fully utilises the potential of PowerPoint as a teaching resource; all PowerPoint slides are clear and easy to follow and use a number of techniques to help students develop knowledge and understanding of the novel. Bold headings, bright and attractive use of colour and illustrations are all used to make this PowerPoint come alive on either an interactive whiteboard or overhead projector. The resource is also very effective on a PC or laptop when used in one to one tuition. The real advantage of using PowerPoint is the ability to edit every slide’s content. You can personalise and differentiate the resources as much or as little as you want.  Add extra slides, delete pages, change the text and imagery and update it as is necessary - all slides in the PowerPoint are fully editable.  In addition, the resource contains a scheme of work overview and a student booklet packed with worksheets created to be used in conjunction with the PowerPoint. Like the PowerPoints, the worksheets are bright, colourful and very student friendly and although worksheets are under copyright, they can be photocopied for use in the classroom.
