KS3 English / KS4 English GCSE English GCSE English Literature
This Macbeth scheme of work is an excellent introduction for students to Macbeth. The resource comes complete with PowerPoints, worksheets and step by step lesson plans to help teach one of Shakespeare's most popular plays.
Each lesson is planned out using the four part lesson plan. This includes a starter activity, introduction, development and plenary. The resource maximizes the potential of PowerPoint as a teaching resource in the classroom. All Powerpoint slides are clear and easy to follow and use a number of techniques to help students develop knowledge and understanding of the play. Bold headings, bright and attractive use of colour, photographs, cartoons and video clips are all used to make this PPT come alive on the interactive whiteboard.
Unlike a worksheet or textbook the real advantage of using PowerPoint is the complete control that teachers have over the content. You can add extra slides to the PowerPoint, delete the parts you don't like, change the text imagery and video clips and update it as is necessary - in fact all slides are completely editable.
So what does English Teaching Resources: Macbeth include?
Well, first of all there is the Powerpoint. The Powerpoint slideshow contains a huge 150 slides all specifically designed to teach Shakespeare's Macbeth. As mentioned previously, all slides on the Macbeth PPT are of very high quality and use colour and imagery to create an excellent learning experience. To view the Macbeth PowerPoint in more detail you can take a preview of the resource by clicking on the slides in the preview box underneath the resource description.
Secondly the resource contains a student booklet packed with worksheets which have been created to use in conjunction with the PowerPoint. Like the PPTs the worksheets are bright, colourful and very student friendly and worksheets, although under the copyright of Teacher-of-English.com, can be photocopied for use in the classroom.
