The Of Mice and Men scheme of work is an excellent teaching and learning resource for teachers of Steinbeck’s classic novel. Resources include a 272 slide PowerPoint, dozens of worksheets and step by step lesson plans to help teach one of KS4 / GCSE Literature’s most popular novels. Every lesson is planned out using the four part lesson plan, following the starter, introduction, development and plenary format. The resource fully utilises the potential of PowerPoint as a teaching resource, all PowerPoint slides are clear and easy to follow and use a number of techniques to help students develop knowledge and understanding of the novel Of Mice and Men. Bold headings, bright and attractive use of colour, photographs, cartoons and video clips are all used to make this PowerPoint come alive on either an interactive whiteboard or overhead projector. The resource is also very effective on a PC or laptop when used in one to one tuition.
